Fidelity Head of Investment Companies
London
About me
I'm Head of Investment Companies at Fidelity International and keen on all things investment-related. Since graduating from university in 2007 I've worked in the City in a number of different areas including equity research (analysing companies), product development (designing new products), regulation (making sure we're following the rules) and distribution (getting our clients invested in the best products for their needs). Most recently I led Fidelity’s regulatory operations across Continental Europe, the UK and Asia Pacific. Super interesting...and very busy!
I sit on the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) Examination Panel for Investment Management. I'm also Treasurer and a Management Committee member of NextGen Pensions, a group focused on getting the best people and thinking into the pensions industry.
I have a special interest in so-called 'alternative' assets (so investments beyond the usual stocks and bonds, for example, art, music royalties or property) and am a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst. "ESG" - so investing with a focus on environmental, social and governance factors - is something I know quite a lot about.
When I'm not at work I'm usually to be found running around various London parks or at aerobics classes. I also love a good podcast (accompanied by a cup or two of peppermint tea).
Given the challenging times we're living in we're all reviewing our financial situation at the moment and thinking 'what next'. Getting our financial planning right - both in the short and longer-term will be essential.
As a Boring Money ambassador, I am able to offer support and guidance on financial matters, but I am unable to give personal recommendations or advice.
