Josh Butten

Josh is a co-founder at boosst, an independent financial planning firm that works with families across the UK - and currently the CISIs Financial Planning Firm of the Year. Josh specialises in helping families to answer their ‘big questions’; which is achieved by bringing together personal finance expertise with cashflow planning software. ‘Big questions' come in many forms; some families want to know if they are on-track to achieve financial independence, others wish to fund children’s University costs or gift assets without compromising their own financial future. Families who work with Josh gain financial peace of mind and are encouraged to focus on living life, safe in the knowledge that boosst are taking care of their wider financial planning and are there to keep them on track to achieve their goals.

Josh is a Chartered and Certified Financial Planner and unconventionally returned to academia to complete a Masters Degree in Financial Planning and Business Management. His research explored how to reduce uncertainties in retirement planning - and particularly how those with and without children think and plan differently for retirement.

He is acutely aware that there is a lack of financial education in the UK, both in schools and for the adult population. Alongside boosst’s educational workshops and initiatives, he is here to ‘do his bit' and provide answers from a financial planners perspective.
