Still reserved for NatWest customers only. Offers one of 5 investment funds to customers. Still a little bit sparse and not wildly exciting. But will get you invested and be visible alongside online banking.

Why NatWest?

An investment through NatWest Invest has the potential to grow over the long term.
Experts decide the best places to invest your money. We invest in a low cost way and make sure your investment stays at a risk level you are comfortable with.
The funds can invest in a mix of assets including company shares and bonds (loans to governments or companies) and in different parts of the world. This can help reduce risk as it means your money relies less on one company, country or type of asset.

The 'Geeky' Details

Provider details

NatWest Invest is currently only open to existing NatWest banking customers. There are only five funds from which to choose. There’s the option of taking automated advice for those unsure which one they should pick, with this advice only costing £10. You don't get to pick your own individual shares and funds.

The investments are run by another part of the bank – private bank Coutts & Co. It’s convenient for NatWest current account holders who want to dip a toe into investment waters and see it in the same place as online banking.

Total costs are about 0.95%, including the platform and the investments, so around £9.50 per year in fees on a £1,000 investment.

We don't have an account with NatWest Invest, so haven't yet been able to give them a Boring Money 'We Say' score.
