Best for Customer Service 2022
9 Feb, 2022
Readers, contain your excitement as we welcome you to the digital red carpet of the glamorous UK investment and pension scene. These independent awards reflect customer feedback and reviews in relation to service, as well as rigorous Boring Money testing. We phoned providers, tested chat functions and assessed accessibility and availability of support through multiple channels. Lengthy hold times and unhelpful answers to questions penalised providers.
These awards take our research team of 6 analysts over 2 months to research and collate, and recognise all round excellence. In our opinion – and their customers’ opinion - they are the best providers for customer service for those investing without an adviser. They are listed in diplomatic alphabetical order below.

More information about the awards
Why did we come up with these awards and the Best for Customer Service category?
The financial sector is not really known for being a beacon of customer service. Whether it's poor website experiences, 'helplines' that always leave you on hold, or hidden charges that make you feel utterly bewildered, there's a distinct lack of transparency. This makes it harder for customers like you to compare providers, understand what's right for you, and make an informed choice before you part with your cash. In response to the above, we created the Boring Money Best for Customer Service award to honour those providers that go above and beyond to put you - the customer - first. For example, always picking up the phone when you need them, being crystal clear on pricing, and giving you the tools and support you need to manage your ISAs, pensions and investment accounts with ease.
And how does this information help me?
We didn't just come up with these Best Buys to brag about how amazing all these providers are. No - these awards exist to help you - the customer - make better financial decisions for yourself and your loved ones. Whether you're planning on opening a new ISA, consolidating your pension, saving up for your children, or something else, we've done all that nitty gritty research and fiddly analysis so you don't have to. And as you navigate our website and compare products, do keep a look out for these brands with the Best for Customer Service logo. We don't just give these out to anyone. Providers have to earn them - and that means doing an awful lot more than saying 'your call is important to us'.
