I’ve always wanted to do things differently. When I set up Citywide Financial Partners way back in 2004, it was to bring my own brand of financial planning to the market. One that was fresh, innovative and much more interested in people than money. And that still holds true today. 

For me, it’s not enough to be a trusted adviser. I want the individuals, businesses and families I work with to see me as a trusted friend too. It’s about building relationships strong enough to go on for decades – if not through generations. And I’m still working with the first people I met when I founded the business all those years ago.

At Citywide, what sets us apart, is knowing that no two people are the same. Everyone we meet has different goals and aspirations – and different means to achieve them. My passion for doing things differently has never waned. And it’s one of the reasons I represent the interests of smaller independent financial advisers on the Financial Conduct Authority’s Panel, where I was Chair for two years. It’s my way to ensure we have a vibrant, independent sector that can meet the needs of clients – both today, and in the future.
