Given that Baillie Gifford UK British Smaller Cos B Acc fund has closed, can I sell, or just wait?

Question by Douglas
I have a small holding of Baillie Gifford UK British Smaller Cos B Acc. held in a A J Bell ISA. Advised that the Fund closed on 27/6/23, can I do anything, sell, or just wait? Thanks.

Hi Douglas,
As per my understanding, investors are unable to sell the fund after it was officially closed on 27 June 2023. This decision was made due to a significant period of underperformance, which would likely have had an impact on fund withdrawals.
Baillie Gifford intends to distribute the termination proceeds on or around 25 July 2023.
To obtain the most accurate and up-to-date information, I recommend contacting AJ Bell customer service directly. They will be able to confirm the current situation regarding the fund closure.
