Two of my former employment pensions ended up with Aegon, and both have lost shed-loads of value. This is in sharp contrast to other pension pots I have from other providers. Deeply troubling, especially considering pension trustees are supposed to do all they can to protect your funds.

High fees with complex structuring. Very poor performance across all sectors despite same funds held with other supplier doing well. Value only increases due to contributions, near zero market growth. I actively tell people to avoid like the plague. Website is useless in terms of research. No ability to sort the available funds, the range of which is pathetic. I would move away immediately if my employer allowed alternative providers.

Over the decades Aegons performance has been mixed. They managed to "lose" a significant bonus I was meant to get and I never got an explanation as to what happened. As an apology I got a "free" Christmas hamper; the most expensive "free" offering ever . Their service desk was often not available and they did not answer emails/messages. The whole of the Governance structure seemed inadequate. I moved most of my savings to another provider 2 years ago and performance has been much better (almost double the returns).

Had an Aegon pension a few years ago and it was prone to errors on their part ( incorrect sums invested, poor employer comms etc )

Been with these for many years. Recently they have upgraded the content on the contact pages. Don't like the charges for drawdown £75 per year is steep. I am retired ,73, but not taken cash from the fund yet, will likely move to an alternative SIPP to start drawdown.
