Fees the absolute maximum they're allowed to charge and some restrictions on transfers. Insipid default fund. Decent app though

Easy to use self-managed platform

Very easy access to pension and documents via their website.

Inflexible, limited choice of funds. Website and app aren't user friendly, difficult and time consuming to update preferences.

Improved website and app but still not enough information to monitor performance and returns. Very slow to action changes and add funds. Fund choice can be limited and depends on workplace setup. Some get a very small selection, others whole market.

Very average offering with less than average website. Unfortunately I have to suffer Aviva as they are the corporate provider of my employers pension service. Amazingly they can magically make my pension contribution disappear for 7-10 days every month despite digital payments into any other bank account only taking 24hrs for the last 20yrs. In my experience they are overly keen on pleasing their share holders not their customers.
