Common money issues my clients have

In many cases during marriage the husband has looked after the finances and therefore during divorce, she feels overwhelmed, fearful, anxious and in need of a helping hand. She lacks confidence in making financial decisions, particularly knowing these decisions will affect her for the rest of her life.

It can be hard to make sensible decisions about your financial future, when you are going through such immense emotional upheaval. In fact, it’s often tempting to bury your head in the sand. But it’s so important to get to grips with your finances at this stage. It can mean the difference between being very comfortable, where you can sleep at night. Or running out of money far, far too soon. The choice is that stark.

What’s needed is a guiding hand and a reassuring voice. This is what we do best:

  • working with you through the divorce process
  • supporting you on your journey
  • explaining the finances so that financial confusion can change to confidence
  • helping you take control of your future

We can be with you as early in the process as you’d like. Maybe even before you meet with a lawyer. We will be there all the way through to helping you to manage your finances after the divorce.

My answer to a WTF lady's question

Karen, 55, asks...

"When I got divorced I changed the mortgage, changed the car insurance – halved them both! Huge amount of satisfaction and learning, so what else should I look into?"
