I have a life time isa and my partner already owns her own property with a mortgage. Can I buy into this property using the lifetime isa, if we remortgage together/ start a new mortgage, (not sure on wording you would use) Hope you can help please. I can't find this information anywhere

Hi Richard

Yes you can do this, provided you meet all the other criteria for using the Lifetime ISA - you are a first time buyer, the LISA has been open for at least 12 months & the property is less than £450,000. You will need to make sure it is a properly conveyanced transaction so your name is on the deeds at the end.

If you are remortgaging you would effectively add your Lifetime ISA funds into the pot in order to reduce the loan required.
