Autumn Statement 2023: Top changes to know about

On Wednesday 22 November 2023, the Chancellor of the Exchequer Jeremy Hunt outlined the government's Autumn Statement - its tax and spending plans - in the House of Commons. There were a number of changes which could affect your finances, so we've pulled out the key points you should know about and how they might impact you.

The government stated that its main aims with this Autumn Statement were to reduce debt and cut taxes across 110 'growth' measures for the UK economy. Primary changes include a cut to National Insurance and confirmation that the State Pension triple lock will be honoured in full.
