Is Plum good for investing?

Holly Mackay's View
I think Plum is a good app to manage cash savings for those who want to put a toe in the investing waters, but focus mostly on cash. It won't satisfy more seasoned investors, but for a younger, less confident audience, it's a lovely app with lots of nice features. Offering round-ups and automatic saving settings, and some helpful suggestions to start investing, it's a user-friendly option.
This is the view of investment expert Holly Mackay based on her first-hand customer experience as a test account holder. This does not constitute regulated advice.

You can’t sell your stocks to cash, without it leaving the ISA so to reinvest in a different etf or stock. You HAVE to use more of your allowance. They have changed the way the track your gains from time weighted returns to unrealised returns. So I have sold something for profit that is seen as a realised return. You don’t get the option to see how your portfolio is doing over a given time period. Ie compare 1 week, to a month or a year. It’s just all time unrealised return.

The customer service is absolutely useless i had it set to auto deposit and invest some of the payments didnt purchase the investments and didnt reattempt to purchase or return the money to the "pocket" of uninvested money so I contacted the support through the app...... several times and it has now been 7 weeks and they just say they have marked it as urgent priority with the technical team. I dont know what there idea of urgent is but mine is less than 2 months Appears they are just stealing from me have another few weeks before I can contact the financial conduct authority

They took about 8 weeks to transfer out my ISA, despite repeated requests. The chatbot was hopeless. When I did speak to someone they never responded in the timeframe they stated
